ACA-Compliant Health Insurance

An Array of Individual Major Medical Options through our Private Health Insurance Exchange

Lots of Options and Subsidies

Four ACA-compliant options are available; they’re called platinum, gold, silver, and bronze. Plus, we offer even more options with ACA-compliant plans from major carriers through our Private Health Insurance Exchange. Count on us to have choices that are right for you, whether you qualify for a subsidy or not.

Open Enrollment and Special Enrollment Periods

Open Enrollment for all individual major medical plans was from November 1, 2016 through January 31, 2017. Everyone was able to apply during that time.

While Open Enrollment is only available once a year, you may be able to purchase insurance at other times through a Special Enrollment Period if you have a Qualifying Life Event. You may also be eligible for special subsidies, but you generally have only 60 days to apply!

A few basics about Open Enrollment:

  • November 1, 2016: Open Enrollment started. This was the first day for enrollment in a 2017 Marketplace plan.
  • December 15, 2016: This was the last day plans could be purchased for coverage to begin on
    January 1, 2017.
  • January 1, 2017: This was the first date 2017 coverage could start.
  • January 31, 2017: Open Enrollment ended for 2017.

For those who didn’t enroll in a 2017 plan by January 31, 2017, they will go without coverage unless they qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. Should you miss the 60-day Special Enrollment Period, we can offer you Short Term Medical Insurance (STM) to cover the gap between now and the next Open Enrollment period, which starts November 1st. Though STM is not ACA-compliant, it’s often better than going without coverage at all and can be purchased anytime.

Open Enrollment for 2018 coverage
will start on November 1, 2017 and end on December 15, 2017
